With familiar beats introducing a new idol into the constantly growing Marvel Cinematic Universe at this stage in the game, it’s simple to think that Marvel has their origin stories down to a science. There, she is approached by four inebriated women who indiscreetly check on her, get her dressed and ready, do her cosmetics, and arrange for a ride home. Because there isn’t anything like intoxicated women in the café bathroom in the Marvel universe.
Maslany, Gao, and Coiro help the premiere episode of She-Gawk Attorney at Law fulfil its promise to the caravan and add a much-needed dose of silliness to the Marvel TV universe. It’s just a matter of time before the court show transforms into the superhero show with more well-known MCU characters scheduled to appear in the coming weeks, including Wong (Benedict Wong), Emil Blonsky (Tim Roth), and of course Daredevil (Matt Murdock). With a lead as captivating as Maslany, I have no problem with that at all; the fun is never lost.
